How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if woodchuck could chuck wood?

????

How to start, how to start, how to start??

I have been living the normal life here in Mauritius since my last post. My coworker Ben and I went for a meeting in Mont Choisy yesterday at a hotel called the Tarisa Resort. We first had a meeting with the executive chef and then he had to speak briefly with the purchaser for laundry in regards to product prices. The executive chef was yet another person who did not have the time to fill out my survey right then and there - It is kind of frustrating especially when they are told beforehand that they will be asked to fill something out. I don't understand why they just say "I'm sorry but I don't have the time today perhaps we can reschedule for next week??"

While personally I believe that this is very rude, I also think back to a post from awhile back about embracing another culture. I am reminded that it is just another way of perceiving the world. However, it is still difficult for me to understand. I guess its not that important and life goes on - oh well.

We had the most delicious dinner last night - Osso Bucco! Audrey and I were the only ones that had had it before - my mom likes to make it at home! Instead of making it with tomatos, Audrey used vegetables - it was excellent! I was exhausted afterwards and was in bed by 10:30.

Some little things:
-It is very hard to be in a group of people where two languages are being spoken and one person only understands one. This has been Stuart's struggle. I try my best to translate for him every now again but I tires me out at the same time. This past weekend when I was around my coworkers who speak creole amongst each other - luckily they would translate into french for me from time to time so that I felt included - it was probably tiring for them too.
-I have seen tons of people who wear what looks like the UF sorority girl jacket - a navy parka with a an orange stripe around the middle. I am not sure if it is the same brand that I have but hilarious just the same
-In order to change lanes - the turn signal is not enough. You also have to look the person in the eye that you want to get in front of in order to get their attention as well as make it absolutely unavoidable for them not to let you in by inching your way forward
-I am happy that my hair now has some more highlights thanks to all the sun that I got this weekend
-My chore every night before dinner is to set the table and uncork the wine - Mom I hope you are proud
-I saw a guy with a Chargers jersey on this morning - random

More later...
